About

Victoria Blakeway Edelman, Esq.

Victoria has been practicing law since 1998, and is a member of the Virginia State Bar. She spent the first 13 years of her career focused on electronic discovery for civil litigation (eDiscovery). She did consulting, taught, and ran professional services programs in eDiscovery and delved into the technical side working hands-on with databases. She then pivoted into cybersecurity and data privacy, and has worked in that arena for the last several years. She has been doing wills, contracts and other legal projects for friends and family for many years.

As a bi-sexual, she has been active in the LGBTQ+ community for many years. She dreamed of opening her own practice catering to her friends and community members. She handles contracts, estate planning, medical powers of attorney, wills & trusts, co-parenting agreements, property co-ownership agreements and other types of things lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer people need to run their legal lives.

Victoria has a law degree from William & Mary Law School (Class of 1998) and a B.F.A. in Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University (Class of 1994). She lives in Reston, VA with her husband, two teenagers and two large enthusiastic dogs.

Victoria is a proud member of the national LGBTQ+ Bar Association, and the Virginia Equality Bar Association.
